Most of my current work is raku. The spontaneity of the raku process helps keep me energized and excited. Like Christmas morning for a child, I can’t wait to see what I am going to get out of each firing.
I create both wheel thrown and hand built pieces, most of which are non-functional. My love of clay is in its tremendous possibilities and directions. As a result of the clay’s potential I shift back and forth from the wheel to hand built forms very often combing both directions with other materials such as wood, metal, leather and glass.
